Newborn Photos

My friend Elicia just recently started her own photography business. She is so talented and took some newborn pictures of Lilly when she was only about 10 days old. These were Elicia's first newborn pictures to ever take and they turned out amazing! She's already a pro. Click here to view the Part 1 teaser and here to view Part 2. Below are some of my faves... but be sure to check out her awesome website as well!

Dear Mocha,
We haven't forgotten about you! Although we have to give Lilly a lot of love and attention you are still dear to our hearts and our firstborn. Thanks for your patience and welcoming her with open paws. We love you sweet girl and love watching you love on Lilly with your slobbery kisses.

Peace at the Park

Lilly was only about one week old when we went to Caruth Park for the first time. So these pics will take you back in time about a month... right in the middle of the mayhem of having a newborn hence why I'm just now posting these pics :). Tia Mel, Uncle Queso, Jeremiah, and I strolled down there to just get out and relax. It was a beautiful day! The guys threw the frisbee while the girls relaxed. Here are some pics from our outing.
These two newlyweds recently celebrated their 6 month wedding anniversary. Below are some candids I captured of these two love birds. Congrats! I can't believe it has already been half a year. We love you!

Roll over, roll over

Lilly rolled over from her tummy to her back a couple of weeks ago, but lately she has become a pro and is super speedy at it. Check out the video below to see her roll in action!
Tia Mel caught it on her iPhone so I give her all the credit.
(disclaimer: I'm not sure about the quality since it is from her phone... it might be kind of small but hopefully you can get the gist. :)

1 week, 2 week, 3 weeks, 4!!!

I can't believe Lilly is already a month old! It seems like it flew by! She is changing so much already! Some big firsts would be... smiling BIG, rolling from her tummy to her back, holding her head up, ability to focus on people and objects, and becoming more and more alert! We are so blessed with such a good baby! She sleeps a five to six hour stretch at night then eats and goes back down for two hours. Sleeping has always been her favorite thing. She would sleep and sleep if I didn't wake her up to eat. We have been out and about as well to places like Northpark, the Arboretum, Snider Plaza, Inwood Village, many restaurants, the doctor's office, Barnes and Noble, Caruth Park, and Square 1. I have been so blessed to have my mom's help as well. I can't imagine getting through this first month without her... or at least it wouldn't have been as pleasant and I'm sure I wouldn't have gotten out of the house as much. Lilly loves her time with Lulu, and since she is such a great babysitter Jeremiah and I have even gotten out of the house for a couple of date nights without baby. :) We also took our first road trip to Longview to support dad's hunting obsession the opening weekend of deer season. Lilly did great in the car and slept the whole way. You are growing so big Lilly! I can't wait to see what month 2 will bring!

Road Trip

We went to Longview for our first road trip so Jeremiah could go hunting the opening weekend of deer season. Lilly was such a good traveler! She slept the whole way both ways and we had a blast visiting Lulu and Jpop's house. It took a little longer traveling with an infant so on the way there we had to stop so I could feed her. We stopped in a semi-abandoned RV park. :) It was uneventful until a lady from the lone RV in the park started walking toward our car. Jeremiah got out to talk to her and she asked if we needed help. Jere said no... that his wife was just feeding our baby and she said oh... that's good and proceeded to tell him about how their heater went out last night and it was so cold. Random...
Below are some pics from our weekend!

Meredith came to visit!

My sweet cousin Meredith came to meet Miss Lilly. She was so helpful and we had so much fun spending the day together. Lilly enjoyed one of her favorite activities... lounging on her Boppy and looking out the window! Check out her moves...

Story Time with Daddy

Lilly loves being read to and especially loves story time with Daddy. When Jeremiah gets home from work it is one of the most special times of the day. She loves to see him and hear his voice, and he wants to hold her and never put her down! They are so sweet together and I love them both so much!

So into the story...

Playing catch up

So I always wondered why it took new moms so long to post pictures of their cute new babies when I was dying to see them. Now I know!!! I finally feel like my head is above water and we are getting into somewhat of a routine. So now for playing catch up... I'll keep adding posts below until we get caught up so keep checking back for updates on sweet Lilly and what's going on with our new family of three! :)
