Cal and Elise

On February 3, 2012, Bonny-Kate (Jeremiah's older sister) and Ben welcomed their first kiddos into the world, our second nephew and first niece. The twins arrived healthy and happy! They are cuties! We already love them so much and Lilly loves being a big cousin. :)

Right after they were born! Proud parents with the twins!

Cousin Lilly was there on their birthday!

And so EXCITED for cousins to play with!!!

She kept pointing to them and saying baby, baby, baby.

Bonny-Kate (aka Mommy)

Cousin Jackson sent his warm wishes all the way from Vicenza, Italy. The twins and Jackson are exactly 1 month apart to the day. What a great 1 month birthday present!

Day 2 in the hospital! We just couldn't stay away.

Lilly got to hold the twins at home for the first time. She was so excited and I don't think knew what to think. It was her first time to hold a real baby. She would just look at them and gently pat them. Then would look up with the biggest grin on her face like she was in heaven. This girl loves her some babies and she was really good with them! Recently she is very attached to baby dolls. Totes them everywhere with her, hugs them, kisses them, says baby all the time, and sometimes won't go to bed without them. It's pretty precious!

Welcome to the world Cal and Elise! We are so thankful for you and can't wait to watch you grow!

Baton Rouge, LA

At the end of January we had a wedding in Baton Rouge, Lousiana. We weren't sure about making the trek down there with Lilly, but when the opportunity to spend the weekend with a dear friend of mine presented itself we couldn't pass it up. It was the best weekend and we had the most fun catching up, meeting each others little ones, and the kiddos had a ball playing together as well! Jessica and I first met and became great friends when we went through an amazing discipleship program at Pine Cove Christian Camps. We connected on so many levels and instantly became besties! After that we worked together at Pine Cove for several summers in college. We hadn't seen each other since summer of 2006 so to say the least it was a much needed reunion!

Jess and her husband, Patrick, went to LSU, and they now live in Baton Rouge with their two littles, Sean Patrick and McKayla. SP is about 5 months older than L and their new little one was only about 2 months old. Jess had the whole weekend planned perfectly. We did and saw so much and enjoyed some amazing cajun cuisine!

At the airport waiting to board with her carry-on snacks in tow.

L sneaking a sip of daddy's drink...

The puffs came in handy! L really did great on the flight. We read books, looked out the window, and ate lots of puffs.

Jess picked us up at the airport Friday evening. We headed to her place, got settled, she made jambalaya for dinner with king cake for dessert, and we chatted all night.

The next morning we went to Coffee Call for some cafe au lait and beignets. L loved the beignets!! She couldn't scarf them fast enough.

Sean Patrick is quite the ladies man and the most verbal 20 month old little boy I've ever met! He said he wanted to hold Lilly. So stinking cute!

Good thing Lilly wasn't in her kissing phase when we were down there. Otherwise these two would have been smooching the whole time!

 Where is Lilly's nose?

Where is Lilly's chin?

After breakfast we went to see Mike the Tiger, the LSU mascot.

L of course kept saying... kitty cat, kitty cat!

L growling like the tiger.

Sweet McKayla snoozed most of the time.

This is about the time Lilly's obsession with babies began. She rocked McKayla in her carrier adn gave her lots of love pats.

Afterwards we went to feed the ducks.

It was Lilly's first time to feed ducks.

Look at the ducks...

Throw them the bread...

She wanted to test the bread first... She finally got the hang of it and fed the ducks instead of feeding herself. :)

When we got home the kiddos took a nap. Then, when they woke up they played some more.

That evening Jess and Patrick babysat L for us while we were at the wedding. The kiddos had bath time after dinner!

L wasn't so sure...

Jere and I grabbed sushi before the wedding at a neat restaurant with a view!

Justin and Renee got married!

Sunday we had a yummy brunch and played in the backyard. We were planning on going to church... but while we were at the wedding Sean Patrick fell and hit his head on the rock fireplace and busted his head open. Patrick's parents had to come over and keep Lilly and McKayla while they took SP to the doctor to get glued back together. It ended up being a late night so we didn't make it Sunday morning. He's a tough boy though and bounced back quickly.

I held this little bit a lot!

They they dropped us off at the airport. SP said bye to Lilly... or "Uwy" as he called her. If you listen carefully you can hear him say it in the video. Precious!

We boarded the plane and headed home.

Thank you Cook Family for a fun weekend and lots of memories! We love yall and wish we lived closer!
