A Boo-tastic Time

I love Halloween! Particularly because it is near my birthday so I feel like the two go hand in hand. I have so many great memories from both of them. Now that Lilly's b-day is in October too fall is a fun time! This year we stuck with the theme of L's b-day party and she dressed up as the cutest ladybug or lillybug that I've ever seen!

She was so cute waddling around in her costume. Since she hadn't been walking for too long she was still a bit unstable and the padded tush on her outfit didn't help her balance. She did great though and I feel like she made huge strides in the balance department. :)

KK had us over for a little Halloween play date with Lilly and Anna Kate. They were both cute little bugs!

Kristin had us over for a Halloween play group. She had the house decked out and it was so cute. The kiddos were precious! They wouldn't sit as a group so the moms had to hold down these little critters.

We went to the church Trunk or Treat and Lilly had a ball.

She walked from trunk to trunk...

and gathered lots of treats!

Each car was decked out with a theme. Mary Poppins was her favorite!

Lilly walking down the yellow brick road at the Wizard of Oz trunk.

Lilly and her pal piggy Ellis wondering why in the world their moms dressed them in these costumes! I can just imagine them thinking... gee... you look silly and kind of familiar!

L was obsessed with the alpacas!

Lilly and Tia with her first DUM DUM

For some reason Tia thought it would be hilarious to give Lilly a blue raspberry dum dum sucker. Since Lilly's favorite food is raspberry so it is no surprise that she loved the sucker! Tia is already being a bad influence sneaking her sugar and all...

On Halloween evening we went trick or treating a Tia Mel and Uncle Queso's house! This was Lilly's first stop. After all the practice at Trunk or Treat she was a pro.

Trick or Treat

A special treat just for this little bug... a spider finger puppet book!

Then we went to see Aunt Binky and Uncle Ben! They had lots of yummy treats!

Uncle Ben and the "kittycat" One of Lilly's new words. :)

Lulu and Jpop came in town for the festivities!

Next stop was Grandpa Bruce's house!

Then we returned home and trick or treated at our neighbors' houses. It was a fun evening and L even got a bit of an extended bedtime!
