Christmas in Longview

This Christmas was so special! Lilly got to experience her 1st Christmas and many old and new family traditions! One of our favorite traditions is hanging out all day at home in our pajamas, opening gifts, telling stories, playing games, and watching movies. This year we spent Christmas in Longview with my side of the family. It was so fun and many memories were made!

Some candids of my little nugget!

The big kids Christmas morning checking out what Santa brought! When we were little Mel and I would ALWAYS sleep together on Christmas Eve, and then wake each other up in the morning, go downstairs to get mom and dad, and then go see what Santa brought. This year Cace got to join in on the tradition! We seriously considered making a big pallet so we could all sleep together but opted not to mainly because we were so exhausted and a little because it seemed slightly awkward. :) Everyone always has a pair of Christmas pajamas to wear as well as a head piece. We wear them to Christmas breakfast at Aunt Kim and Uncle Greg's house where we go see what Santa brought Jordan and Meredith.

When Lilly woke up from her nap she got to check out all her goodies from Santa! She sure was a good girl for all 2 1/2 months that she was alive in 2010! She got lots of fun toys to prove it. It must have been all that sleeping through the night at 2 weeks old! Her favorite toy is the snail on the right. She loves to bat at him to make him light up and play music while watching herself in the mirror.

Lilly and Bubbles the cat
(Ignore the bib that looks like it is choking her... she kept spitting up like crazy that day.)
This might be a good time to mention Tia Mel's spit-up gag reflex. She better get that under control before she has her own kids one day :)

Lilly and her beautiful Winter Garden Madame Alexander doll from Lulu and JPop

JPop came down with the flu the Wednesday before Christmas so was quarantined to his room pretty much the whole week. He got to come out Christmas morning for a bit with his mask on to open some presents. :) All the sanitizing and precautions paid off because no one else got sick and we all were healthy for the ski trip! (more to come on that topic later) We missed him joining us for all the festivities but he was a great patient!

Lilly in her new fleece hat ready to play in the snow and stay toasty at the same time!

Lulu and Lilly
These two are the perfect pair! Notice that L's dark hair she was born with fell out and is coming in a lot lighter... I wonder what color her hair will be. Mine was strawberry light brown and Jeremiah's was tow head blonde when we were little.

Memaw and Papaw were in town for almost a week and came out every day for some play time with Miss Lil. She had so much fun and Papaw can always make her smile BIG!
