Verona, Italy

After Florence we traveled back to Vicenza where Jon and Sara live. We stayed with them the rest of our trip and took day trips from there. They are in such a great location about a 20 minute train ride from Verona and 30 minutes from Venice.

For one of our day trips we went to Verona, home of the Romeo and Juliet love story.
This is the wall that sets the city limits.

The Colosseum

Ambience of the city... peaceful park

pretty buildings

shopping

L hanging in there as we tote her around.

Juliet's House

Graffiti on the walls... I thought this part was sad. I don't know why they would do that.

The balcony

Gate where people lock their love.

Photos on the balcony. ;)

Kind of a bummer that it is all made up and not true history.

After lunch in the plaza we took a train back to Vicenza in time to put Lilly down for her nap. :)

That night we went to dinner with Sara and Jon and some of their friends in celebration of one of their friend's birthdays and his upcoming deployment. On the way to the restaurant there was this beautiful of Vicenze, their home city.
